Director
of Fund Development
Under the direction of the Board, the Development Director will plan, coordinate and implement fund development activities that support and promote the work of the All Tribal Indian Center-specifically in the areas of education, community services, cultural events, basic building and employee operations. A major focus of this position will be creating relationships with individual donors and foundations. In addition, helping create and implement a solid business plan to develop a revenue producing a professional Native American Community Services Organization.
Responsibilities:1. Create an annual fund development plan with financial goals for all types of fund raising including, but not limited to, government and foundation grants, individual gifts, corporate donations, events and sponsorships.2. Research and identify foundation and business and individual grant opportunities and forge those new relationships with the capacity to provide larger or seed contributions.3. Oversee development and maintenance of grants calendar of submissions and reporting cycles.4. Research and identify public grant opportunities from federal, state and local government entities.5. Research and write grant proposals in collaboration with staff. 6. Help develop and implement marketing strategy for events. Coordinate, cultivate and solicit events7. Provide monthly progress reports on fund raising goals and assessment of revenue to board. Qualifications:1. Fund development and donor relation experience.2. Experience in development of goals, objectives and outcomes.3. Track record of successful grant writing and proposal preparation.4. Confidentiality.5. Work and build relationships with people of diverse cultures as well as craftsman and artists6. Excellent written and oral skills.7. Prefer Native American or have knowledge of Native American CultureDirector of Fund Development must raise own salary.
